‘Reconfiguring the Landscape’ investigates how 3-D spatial audio in sound-art, electroacoustic composition and acoustical design can evoke and provoke a new awareness of our outdoor environment. The project addresses spaces created by human intervention (such as urban spaces) as well as natural environments, and is underpinned by both artistic and environmental motivations. The project combines practice-lead research, theoretical investigation, and cutting edge technologies for capturing, analysing and working artistically with sound- and physical-spatial manifestations throughout all stages of the work.
